Fried Spam




3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sake
4 tbsp mirin
2 tsp brown sugar
1 12 oz canned Low Sodium Spam (cut into 8 even slices)


Teriyaki Sauce
Add soy sauce, sake, mirin, and brown sugar to a bowl and whisk the ingredients. Set aside.
Cut the Spam lengthwise into 8 equal slices. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook Spam slices 3-5 minutes or until caramelized, flipping halfway through.
Add teriyaki sauce and cook for 2 minutes or until the slices are coated. Remove from heat. Use for Spam musubi, breakfast fried rice, spam and eggs, and more.
